Every girl has a pair of hoops at the bottom of her jewelry box. Once all the rage, these large earrings have struggled to make a true comeback on their own. But while traditional hoops may still be out, accessorized hoops are fast-becoming a hot new trend.
With the help of beads, feathers and charms, hoop earrings are re-imagined into eye-catching boho accessories. While accessorized hoop earrings can be found in just about every department store’s accessory department, these decorative baubles are easily DIYed at home with a few simple charms – a great new use for those spare charms not currently in use on a charm bracelet.
What you’ll need:
- a pair of old hoop earrings (complete circles with closures are best)
- an assortment of charms
While this DIY is relatively self-explanatory, we recommend keeping charms to a minimum to prevent excessive weight pulling on each earlobe. A few large beads can be strung alongside the charms for some added texture.
